Riding the lagoon
Kitesurf, wing foil, windsurf: the lagoon offers flat, shallow water and frequent wind. It is one of the best places in the world to learn, and a huge playground for experienced riders.

The lagoon is known for its oysters. Taste them at an oyster farm on the water or in town restaurants.
Desert and Atlantic coast
On the ocean side, cliffs and wild beaches contrast with the calm lagoon. By 4x4 with a local driver you reach viewpoints and dunes for sunset.
Practical tips
The wind often cools the air: pack a windbreaker and a wetsuit for riding depending on the season. The sun is strong all year. Many camps are far from town, so book transfers in advance.
